Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 406 Sword Saint vs Pope

Nathan and Vivian finally escaped from the room. As expected, no one could bother themselves with the next presentations, showing how big of an impact that they had just created.

Yet when everyone couldn't find Nathan and Vivian, there was one person who somehow stood in their way.

It was Melissa.

"What is this? To think you would still have the face to come to me…" Vivian snorted. "Are you still not convinced that you have lost?"

Melissa's expression turned solemn. "No. I'm convinced. You're just lucky to have such a disciple, but don't think this is the end."

"Heh." Vivian had a smug smile on her face. However, there was something surprising. She actually said, "Your presentation is good. Unfortunately, you… or more like all the humans in this world, are fixated on themselves. They have never really looked at their familiars. Or so what my disciple said."

Nathan raised his eyebrows. He never thought Vivian would say the thing he told her earlier.

"!!!" Melissa widened her eyes in shock as though she understood what those words meant in an instant. That was right. They had been too focused on themselves, but how about familiars? Could the familiars use the extension too? Or could they do something else to increase the limit? This information alone had shown her why Vivian kept Nathan close.

Melissa shifted her gaze to Nathan while saying seductively, "You have become a much greater man than I originally thought. How is it? How about coming with me? I would give you the pleasure that this old nerd couldn't give."Nôv(el)B\\jnn

She tried to place her hands on Nathan's cheek as if she was trying to seduce him.

With veins bulging on her forehead, Vivian immediately hugged Nathan from behind, as if showing that she didn't plan to let him go. She even kicked Melissa in the stomach, only for Melissa to catch her.

"You dare to seduce my disciple right in front of my eyes?"

"Oh, right? I should seduce him when you're not here. Hence, can you please leave?"

"You slut!" Vivian kicked her again, but Melissa casually caught it.

Both of them were on the verge of releasing their ena, so Nathan sighed and added, "Let's go back. I don't want to be surrounded by people anymore."

"Alone in the room?" Melissa smirked.

"Obviously, going back to the academy! Move!" Vivian was hissing like a cat.

Melissa took out her name card, giving it to Nathan. "If you want something, please visit me. I have a wide range of items, which will be useful to you."

"He doesn't need your items." Vivian immediately dragged Nathan away, but Melissa knew this kind of reaction would come from her, so Melissa just shoved that name card into his pocket so that Vivian couldn't stop her.

In the end, there wasn't any safe spot after that presentation. They couldn't even eat out anymore. Nathan and Vivian ended up isolating themselves inside their room.

"We'll be going back tomorrow." Vivian sighed. "Sorry for telling her about it without consulting you first."

"No worries. I have been just uttering anything I have in mind. Besides, with our time, we don't have enough for such research. Besides, she is capable and suitable for that topic. It's fine to let her owe us."

Nathan understood that, despite their clashes, Melissa was a rather trustworthy person.

"I guess we should wait here until tomorrow."

"Yeah." Nathan nodded in agreement. The people were still actively trying to find them, so it was better to wait until they calmed down.

And it appeared this town wasn't the only one that actively was searching for them.

In the Frexia Academy, two political figures ended up meeting each other. They were none other than the sword saint and the Pope.

Sullivan couldn't help but grit his teeth. "Why would you come here?"

"It's not much. Since I have been invited, I should come here."

"Invited?" Sullivan squinted his eyes.

"Yes, invited." The Pope nodded.

"Who would even invite someone like you? Stop lying." Sullivan retorted. With the Pope's status, no one was qualified to invite him. If they did invite him, they would usually ask for permission.

"What? You don't know that your rising star has invited me?" He smirked.

"!!!" Sullivan, of course, had heard about it. That was the reason Flora and Noelle returned to the palace. "I haven't heard about this. If you are going to visit him, please return another time formally."

"Both of us know that if I come formally, it will create too much noise." The Pope smirked. "You should be thankful to me for coming informally. As a result, there's not much noise in the school. And the school's stability is nothing but assured.

Find adventures on empire

Sullivan clicked his tongue. He realized the people were ready to fight him like this. For one reason or another, the Pope was hell-bent on meeting Nathan.

His purpose must be the magic weapon and Nathan.

"You should have given up when I was being nice. I'm not passive like Sage Leyfon!" Sullivan narrowed his eyes.

"And you are just a temporary principal. Don't forget your status."

After those words, the room fell into silence.

"Have you forgotten the fact that I have helped you in the past?" The Pope squinted his eyes. "I have done a lot of things for your Azilia Kingdom."

"I have also helped you in turning several of your holy knights into true paladins. And this is how you repay me? You want to snatch someone from me right under my nose?" Sullivan glared at him.

Both of them stared at each other for a long time. It was clear that they would do anything to prevent each other from succeeding.

"You should have given up." The Pope shook his head helplessly.

"You should be the one to give up." Sullivan snorted.

Their gazes intensified to the point where they both stood up. Sullivan drew his blade while the Pope lifted his staff.

"As expected, you are still as barbaric as ever." The Pope sighed.

"You think you are not? Do you think I don't know that despite being the Pope, you are still as battle-hungry as before?" Sullivan snorted.

Both of them ended up swinging their weapons toward each other.

The clash was brief, but the moment they hit each other, the entire school vibrated as though there was an earthquake.

Boom!
