Let's Train Heroine

Chapter 278 Heroine's Fighting 3

Nyx used time rewind magic to save herself and teleport herself.

Nyx stood at the edge of the battlefield, her breath heavy and uneven. The once-controlled rhythm of her teleportation had become erratic, and the strain of continuously bending space was beginning to show in every movement. Her chest heaved as sweat dripped down her face. Every pulse of magic from Maris was a reminder of the precarious situation she found herself in.

She clenched her fists, glancing at Maris, who stood composed at the center of the battlefield. The marionettes, now numbering in the thousands, moved with eerie precision, filling every available inch of the battlefield. Each time Nyx blinked out of existence, a marionette would rise in her place, their wooden bodies crackling with holy energy. She had no room to breathe, no space to retreat.

But Nyx was not one to back down. She would not lose this battle.

Her dark eyes gleamed with a renewed sense of determination as she whispered, "If space isn't enough to break you, then maybe it's time to unravel something even deeper."

Maris watched her, the frown on her face deepening. Nyx had already used her time-rewind twice, and even though she hadn't shown immediate weakness, Maris could sense the toll it was taking. Time magic was not something that could be wielded without consequence, and Nyx was already walking the razor's edge.

"You're pushing yourself too far," Maris said. She stepped forward, her marionettes parting like water around her. "You're not going to win this, Nyx. You can still stop. End this fight before you tear yourself apart."

Nyx laughed bitterly, though the sound lacked its usual bite. "You think I don't know the risks? You think I care?" Her eyes flashed with defiance as she began to summon her power once more. "I'll tear the very fabric of reality apart if I have to."

Maris narrowed her eyes, realizing what Nyx was about to do. "No…"

But it was too late.

Nyx extended her hands, the dark energy surrounding her body intensifying until it felt as if the air itself was being torn apart. The space around her began to ripple and warp, twisting into impossible shapes. The battlefield groaned as Nyx pulled at the edges of reality, distorting the sealed space Maris had created.

Time and space were beginning to unravel.

The ground beneath Maris' feet shifted violently, and for the first time, she staggered as the battlefield began to collapse under the weight of Nyx's power. The marionettes faltered, their movements becoming erratic as they struggled to maintain their form in the midst of the spatial chaos.

Nyx's laugh echoed through the distorted space, a sound of triumph mingled with madness. "You thought you had control here, didn't you, Saint? But I've always had the upper hand. You can't bend reality when reality doesn't even make sense anymore!"

Maris gritted her teeth, her hands glowing with holy light as she tried to stabilize the battlefield. She could feel the threads of her reality-bending slipping through her fingers, the fabric of space unraveling faster than she could repair it. The sealed space she had created to trap Nyx was turning against her.

"You're going to destroy everything," Maris warned, her voice strained as she fought to regain control. "Including yourself."

Nyx smirked, her eyes glowing with dark energy. "Maybe. But if I go down, I'm taking you with me."

The battlefield had become a nightmare of shifting dimensions. The marionettes, once a cohesive army, now moved in disjointed, unpredictable patterns as space twisted and folded around them. Some were torn apart by the spatial rifts Nyx had created, while others were flung into pockets of warped reality where time moved at different speeds.

Maris felt the weight of the situation pressing down on her. Nyx was losing herself to the chaos, but in doing so, she was making the battlefield increasingly unstable. If she didn't find a way to counter this soon, it wouldn't just be the marionettes that were torn apart—it would be both of them.

She had to act.

Maris raised her hands, summoning the full force of her reality-bending powers. Her eyes glowed with a brilliant light as she channeled divine energy into the very core of the battlefield. The ground beneath her feet began to stabilize, the walls of the sealed space shimmering as she reinforced them with holy magic.

"I won't let you destroy everything, Nyx," she said, her voice filled with resolve. "I'll bend reality itself to keep you contained."

With a fierce cry, Maris unleashed her power. The battlefield trembled as reality bent to her will, the walls of the sealed space rippling and shifting in response to her command. The marionettes, once disoriented, snapped back into formation, their movements once again precise and deadly.

Nyx growled in frustration as she felt Maris' influence overpowering her spatial distortions. The walls of reality were closing in on her, constricting her movements, making it harder and harder to teleport. Every time she tried to tear open a rift, Maris would patch it up with her reality-bending powers, sealing it shut before Nyx could exploit it.

"You can't keep this up forever!" Nyx shouted, her voice laced with desperation. She summoned another barrage of spatial rifts, aiming them directly at Maris, but the attacks were absorbed by the shimmering barrier of holy light that surrounded her.

Maris didn't respond. She was too focused on maintaining control of the battlefield. Sweat dripped down her face as she concentrated, her hands trembling from the strain of bending reality on such a massive scale.

The two forces clashed violently, space and reality grinding against each other in a chaotic dance of destruction. The battlefield had become a war zone of shifting dimensions and flickering light, with Nyx and Maris at the center, locked in a deadly struggle for control.

Nyx knew she was running out of time. Her energy was nearly depleted, and the strain of using both spatial and time magic was beginning to take its toll. She could feel her body weakening, her movements slowing as exhaustion crept in.

But she refused to give up.

With a surge of power, Nyx tapped into the deepest reserves of her magic. She summoned every ounce of strength she had left, channeling it into one last, desperate attack.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

The ground beneath her feet cracked and splintered as she tore open a massive spatial rift, a black void of swirling energy that threatened to consume everything in its path. The marionettes closest to her were sucked into the rift, their bodies disintegrating as they were pulled into the void.

Nyx's eyes blazed with dark energy as she directed the rift toward Maris, intending to pull her into the abyss.

But Maris was ready.

With a powerful gesture, Maris summoned a blinding beam of holy light, a Judgement Light that pierced through the battlefield, cutting through the air with terrifying force. The beam collided with the spatial rift, and for a moment, the two forces clashed, dark and light battling for dominance.

The battlefield shook violently as the two magics fought for supremacy. Nyx screamed as the strain of holding the rift open became too much. Her body trembled, her knees buckling as she struggled to maintain control.

But Maris' Judgement Light was too strong.

With a final, devastating surge of energy, the holy light overwhelmed the spatial rift, collapsing it in on itself. Nyx was thrown backward, her body slamming into the ground as the rift imploded, sending shockwaves through the battlefield.

Maris stood tall, her eyes glowing with the light of her victory.

Nyx lay on the ground, panting heavily. Her vision blurred as she tried to push herself up, but her body refused to obey. The exhaustion was too much. She had pushed herself too far.

Maris approached slowly, her marionettes standing at attention behind her. "It's over, Nyx," she said softly, though her voice was laced with sympathy. "You fought well, but this battle was never yours to win."

Nyx snarled, trying to summon the strength to stand, but her body collapsed once more. She had nothing left.

Maris knelt beside her, her hand glowing with holy light. "Rest now. This battle is done."

And with that, Maris placed her hand on Nyx's forehead, the light enveloping her as darkness consumed Nyx's vision.

The battle was over.
